Advert with woman’s breasts causes 500 accidents in just 24 hours

Moscow: An advert showing a woman’s bare breast has reportedly caused more than 500 accidents in 24 hours in Moscow, according to the Daily Mail.

In a bid to promote mobile ad hoardings, the poorly-thought out campaign has certainly backfired.

The photograph, which shows a woman cupping her breasts and a thin blue strip across the nipples, was posted on the side of 30 vans in Moscow. The advert read: ‘They attract’. But as the advertising vans drove around streets in the city, there were reports of cars colliding with one another as drivers were distracted.

One of the motorists affected, Ildar Yuriev, was quoted saying, “I was on my way to a business meeting when I saw this truck with a huge photo of breasts on its side go by. Then I was hit by the car behind who said he had been distracted by the truck.”

The furious drivers have reportedly slapped the PR agency with compensation claims.
