Washington: A 63-year-old claims to have had sex with over 700 cars, as reported in the Mirror.co.uk.
Edward Smith, 63, told ITV on This Morning show that although he has made love to 700 cars in his lifetime, he has now settled down with the ‘love of his life’ - a Volkswagen Beetle he calls ‘Vanilla’.
Smith, who is a mecaphile — one who is sexually interested in machines, claims that machines are better than woman. He has had a relationship with a helicopter and planes previously.
“I began an interest in the beauty of cars when I was turning just 15 years of age,” revealed Edward. “It woke something up inside me,” he continued, speaking of the ‘gentle caresses’ he gave the Beetle.
“Around 1971-72 I had a relationship with a woman but it was not a thoroughly satisfying experience,” he recalled. “I had girlfriends in high school and in college but I never got as involved as my brothers did.”
“I realise my cars are cars – but when I hold them in my arms I do feel an energy that comes from each one of them and then it kind of depends what mood I’m in.”
