Nizam heirs meet CM K Chandrasekhar Rao for compensation

Government acquired properties of Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan Bahadur Nizam
Hyderabad: The legal heirs of late Nizam VII, who are still waiting for the compensation from the state government which acquired the private properties of Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan
Bahadur Nizam VII , have approached the TS Chief Minister.
According to the Nizam’s Family Welfare Association, in 1953, as per the letter from the ministry, the inventory of the immovable properties was furnished by the Nizam VII to the Government of
India.
These were accepted as private properties of Nizam VII. The state government claimed that it had purchased about 15,964 acres from the Nizam in 1955-56, for the sale consideration of Rs 4 lakh, which is not received till date. In 1991, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh had given an assurance to the State Assembly that a special court would be constituted under the Land Grab (Prevention) Act, and all cases of illegal sale and encroachments on the Nizam’s properties would be referred to it.
