Officials opened helpline centres at the Vijayawada and other railway stations

VIJAYAWADA: Vijayawada railway division officials have cancelled 28 express trains and 12 passenger trains in the division limits for next two days in view of Cyclone Hudhud.

The division has also diverted 31 trains to the Kazipet-Balarshah route from Visakhapatnam -Bhubaneshwar route.

Meanwhile, officials opened helpline centres at the Vijayawada and other railway stations across the division. Additional divisional railway manager S. Prasad said that special teams have been constituted to supervise the tracks in cyclone-affected areas.

Meanwhile, passengers faced inconvenience due to the diversion or cancellation of the trains.
