Power crisis: Telugu Desam faults K. Chandrasekhar Rao for blaming Naidu

District president has blamed KCR inability in administering a state
Karimnagar: Telugu Desam district president Ch. Vijayaramana Rao slammed Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for blaming their party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the power crisis in the state. Mr Vijayramana Rao said Mr. Rao was trying to cover up his inefficiency by holding Mr Naidu and other parties responsible for the crisis.
The TD leader was addressing mediapersons here on Tuesday.
He lashed out at Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and said that his remarks blaming Mr Naidu for the power crisis only indicated the Telangana chief minister’s inability in administering a state.
“In the past, Mr Chandrasekhar, on several occasions, had said power problems can be easily addressed. But after assuming charge as the chief minister, he is putting the blame on others for the shortage,” said the former MLA of Peddapalli Assembly constituency.
He faulted Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao’s decision to purchase power from other states now. “Almost all kharif crops have withered due to inadequate power supply. What is the need to buy power now?,” he questioned. The power supply has hit both the farming and the industrial sectors alike. Many farmers committed suicide unable to clear the debts due to crop loss while the managements of factories had not given any bonus for Dasara due to loss caused by inadquate power supply, he said.
He criticised the TRS government for failing to address people’s problems. “The leaders are just making statements but not making them a reality.”On the TRS’s promise of giving three acres cultivable land to Dalits, Mr. Vijayaramana Rao said the chief minister was simply deceiving people with false promises. “Mr Rao promised to make a Dalit as the first CM of Telangana but he backtracked and so he introduced the land scheme,” he said.
