Thiruvananthapuram: Mr Shashi Tharoor MP has landed in hot waters with his support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign and the KPCC will hold an emergency meeting on Wednesday to discuss action against him.
Congress leaders, including home minister Ramesh Chennithala and KPCC president V.M. Sudheeran, have flayed his posts on Facebook, and many others have demanded disciplinary action against him.

But some like KPCC general secretary T. Siddique and a few state Youth Congress leaders have come to his defence along with senior BJP leader O. Rajagopal.
Mr Chennithala said in Kozhikode that the Congress could not accept the tweets of Mr Tharoor in support of the agenda set by the RSS and the BJP.
