Kolkata Knight Riders captain was full of praise for his team

Bengaluru: It was a dream run that began on May 7 this year in New Delhi, a journey of success scripted by a determined bunch of cricketers from the Kolkata Knight Riders. On a festive Saturday night, the 14-match streak of Gautam Gambhir and his men was snapped by the dominant Chennai Super Kings.
“We always knew it will take any side (something special) to break that record to be honest. I think 14 on the trot is an unbelievable effort, and it shows a lot of character and determination. Come next year, this side will only get better with the kind of talent we have. We’ll achieve much bigger heights than we’ve done and I’ve got a lot of confidence in this squad.
So I feel that this is just the start of the journey and there’s lot more to come,” Gambir said. Talking on Sunil Narine, Gamhir said, “Sunil is, was and will always be an integral part of KKR. We will back him to the hilt. He’s a strong character and hopefully he comes back, gets this monkey off his back come next IPL.”
