Will pluck out eyes of eve-teasers: Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao

CM said a new Act would be brought in that would ensure stringent punishment

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday said a new Act would be brought in that would ensure stringent punishment to those indulging in atrocities on women to keep the Hyderabad brand image intact.

“If anyone tries to even glance at a women we will not hesitate to pluck out the eyes of the culprit. Come what may, we will enforce the Act strictly, Mr Rao warned, adding that the new Act would be passed in the ensuing Assembly Session.

Speaking at the TRS party’s extended meeting on Sunday, Mr Rao said that the new Act would act as a deterrent. Referring to lack of quality engineering education in Telangana, Chief Minister K. “When I ordered quality check for all Engineering colleges, there was a hue and cry by the managements. Many institutions are running in cattle farms; lack of infrastructure, faculty is plaguing the institutions, how can anyone argue against the quality check? I did not spare some institutions run by my Transport Minister Mahender Reddy from closure, such is my commitment to bring quality education,” KCR said.

Referring to the criticism against him for calling himself “Hitler” in order to curb illegal activities, KCR said. “I only said I would be Hitler to those indulging in illegal activities…it is for a good cause…I have said so. Even for this comment my critics have started accusing me, what is wrong in saying so? I ordered complete closure of all the gambling dens that are run illegally and meant to loot people. Is it a sin closing gambling dens?” he asked.
