Tickets for India - West Indies ODI at Visakhapatnam to be available from 10th October

The match is scheduled to happen on October 14th

Visakhapatnam: The sale of tickets for 3rd ODI between India and West Indies scheduled to be played at Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy ACA-VDCA cricket stadium under flood lights in the city on October 14 will begin from October 10.

Around 12,000 tickets (lower denomination tickets) will be sold through around 30 e-Seva centres while a total of 1,000 (higher denominations) tickets will be sold through online and a total of 3,000 tickets will be sold at the stadium only. The total capacity of the stadium is 27,500 and ACA has decided to give around 8,000 complimentary passes.

Talking to newsmen here on Saturday, chairman of organising committee of India-West Indies ODI cricket match and chairman of VPT M.T. Krishna Babu said they have taken all the steps to check the duplicate tickets and the security personnel will be equipped with latest devices to identify the duplicate tickets at all the entry gates. “We have also received complaints about blocking tickets at e-Seva centres. Hence we decided to take all the measures for smooth sale of tickets,” said Mr Krishna Babu.

With Vizag on radar of terror suspects, DCP (Law and Order) M. Sriniva-sulu said a total of 1,650 police constables and 250 police officers will be deployed at the stadium on the day of the match and the ACA authorities have agreed to install 30 more CCTV cameras in addition to existing 32 CCTV cameras at various places in the stadium, including the parking lots.

The police officer said the police will conduct vehicular check up at the parking places.
