Director Srinu Vaitla strikes back

Prakash Raj recently accused Srinu Vaitla of stealing his line

Hyderabad: Prakash Raj in a press meet had dedicated a saying to Srinu Vaitla. “Nannu ralla tho kottaku pattukoni illu kattestha, nannu kalcheyalani nippu pettaku intiki deepam chesukunta. Nannu ee industry nunchi pampincheyalani tharamaku, cheraalasina chotu twaraga cheripothau. Daya chesi chepthunna, nannu champalani visham pettaku, mingesi neelakantundhi aipotha.” (Don’t throw stones at me, I’ll build a house. Don’t try to burn me down, I’ll light a lamp with the fire. Don’t try to kick me out of the industry, I’ll reach my destination sooner. Please, don’t try to poison me, I’ll gulp the poison down my throat and become Neelakanta).

This was used by Srinu Vaitla as a dialogue in his movie. And recently, Prakash Raj asked, “Doesn’t he have any shame at all?”

Replying to Prakash Raj, Srinu Vaitla said, “The lines were dedicated to me by Prakash Raj so I had the rights on them. I used them as a dialogue. And it’s funny that he accuses me of stealing it.”

The director also clarified, “I did not remove Prakash Raj from Aagadu because of my ego, but considering my own self-respect.”

Talking in support of his movie and answering the allegations made by Prakash Raj, Srinu Vaitla said, “It is funny that Prakash Raj has asked me to keep my ego down, when he is the one is surrounded by allegations and bans.” He added, “I need not take advice from Prakash Raj on the nuances of making a film. Everyone is aware of the result of the movies that have been made by him.”

On the satires in Aagadu, the director said, “I have a lot of respect for Pawan Kalyan and Jr NTR. I did not have any intention to show them in a bad light in Aagadu.”
