Microsoft unveils portable power bank; Nokia reign ends?

Microsoft seems to end the Nokia reign by launching the power bank

Microsoft is in full power. With the launch of a few Nokia smartphones and unveiling the Windows 10 Preview this month, Microsoft seems to be active in trying to capture the market’s attention.

However, when the software giant took over Nokia, they had mentioned that the brand name would continue for a while.

Microsoft has launched a power bank, a portable charger, under the brand name of Microsoft itself. Microsoft Portable Power is a 6000 mAh battery, which is capable of charging two Nokia Lumia 1520 smartphones twice and claims that each charge can be completed in under four hours.

Microsoft also claims that the Portable Power can retain almost 80% of its charge even if unused for six months.

The Microsoft Portable Power will be available in white, bright green and bright orange, and will be hitting the stores in October and will be priced at $49 (Approx Rs 3,000).
