Nandamuri Balakrishna launches NTR Sujala

Palle says the CM is committed to implement all election promises
Anantapur: With the opposition parties deciding not to protest during Gandhi Jayanti, the first day of Janmabhoomi Mana Vooru programme went off peacefully in all parts of the district on Thursday.
Film star and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna took part in the Janmabhoomi programme at Hindupur and launched NTR Sujala RO plants to get purified water. About nine plants, five in Hindupur municipality and two in Hindupur rural and one each at Lepakshi and Chilamathur mandal headquarters in Hindupur constituency face acute drinking water scarcity.
In Hindupur, water supply project has been given to Mitra, a Karnataka based NGO to supply purified water to people of Hindupur area. The MLA had flagged off a rally at Hindupur as part of programmes.
Civil supplies minister Paritala Sunitha and IT minister Palle Raghunath Reddy took part in the rally at Gandhi circle in the Tadipatri bus stand area in Anantapur. The rally was taken out towards Saptagiri circle.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Raghunath Reddy made it clear that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu committed to implement all the promises listed in the manifesto. He called on the opposition parties to co-operate with the officials to ensure that the programme went off smoothly.
“The NTR Sujala supplies pure drinking water to people in all parts of the district,” Mr Reddy said and added that the government planned to complete Handri Neeva Sujala Shravanthi project in a span of one year to irrigate lakh of acres in the region.
Minister Paritala Sunitha recalled that Mr Chandrababu Naidu had launched his padayatra on the day of Gandhi Jayanti and committed to implement all his pro-mises though the government was in financial trouble.
Palle Raghuath Reddy launched Sujala scheme at Buddappa Nagar in Anantapur municipal corporation. The minister also took part in cleaning of drains and sweeping roads on the occasion.
Collector Solomen Arogyaraj ,joint collect S.Satyanarayana, Anantapur MLA V.Prabhakar Chowdary, Mayor Swaroopa andseveral others took part in the programme.
