The police arrested a pick pocketing gang named Telaga Pamula
Hyderabad: The police arrested a pick pocketing gang named Telaga Pamula by arresting three women and two men on Thursday. The gang is notorious for stealing from people in RTC buses and other crowded places by diverting their attention.
The women usually target women with infants, poking the children with sharp objects to make them cry and divert the attention of the mother. The arrested people are Kawadi Kumari, 35, Kawadi Radha, 33, Karthik, 20, Amuru Lakshmi 50 and Amuru Chiranjeevi, 55.
They belong to a family and live in Karmanghat. Police officials said that the gang had earlier engaged in several other criminal activities including house burglaries.
