Mr Naidu says talented students from Andhra Pradesh will be sent to US

Visakhapatnam: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrabau Naidu has said that the state government is ready to send talented students to Silicon Valley to encourage them to become entrepreneurs and upgrade their skills.

“Mr Sanjay Vijaya Kumar of Kochi Startup village, who is also the brain behind Vizag Startup, has asked if the government can send some students to Silicon Valley in the US to encourage talented students. We are ready to send them. Mr Sanjay can pick 10 to 15 talented students by conducting some competition and we are ready to send them to Silicon Valley in six months from now so that they get the feel of IT. The government is ready to do whatever it takes to develop IT sector in AP,” said Mr Naidu.

He said that the government would be setting up Skill Development Corporation in PPP mode for upgradation of skills of students.

Mr Naidu further said that he was glad to inform that Andhra Pradesh has been chosen for the 24X7 ‘Power for All’ Projects by the Government of India which gives us a clear advantage over other states in fostering the IT industry.

“In our pursuit to build Sunrise Andhra Pradesh as a global business destination, our Innovation and Start-up Policy has been prepared with a vision to create a world-class technology start-up ecosystem by fostering entrepreneurship and a culture of innovation,” he said and further added that he was delighted to see that there was a renewed interest from industry leaders across the world to invest in Sunrise Andhra Pradesh.
