Google map has Telangana villages in Andhra Pradesh
Vijayawada: Villages in several mandals of Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh are shown as falling in Telangana state on Google Maps. AP villages like Talluru, Vemulanarva in Vatsavai, Ramannapalem in Tiruvuru mandal, Triupuravaram, Mukuteswarapuram and Budawada in Jaggiahpet mandal are shown as part Telangana state.
A. Bharani Kumar of Vijayawada, said, “I had to travel to Vemulnarva and I set directions on my GPS-enabled smart phone. However, Google Maps was showing Vemulnarva of Vatsavai mandal in Krishna district as in Telangana state instead of AP. This lead to some confusion.”
Likewise, several villages in Guntur district, adjacent to Nalgonda district, too, are shown as part of Telangana state. In the wake of the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, it had been Google that had changed the areas falling in Telangana state ahead of social networking sites.
