Congress leaders to question officials about the difficulties being faced by the people during the Janmabhoomi programme
Guntur: The state Congress has decided to make use of the state government’s Janmabhoomi programme to highlight unresolved issues being faced by the people.
Former MLA and Congress Guntur in-charge Malladi Vishnu, addressing the party’s district-level meeting here on Sunday, asked Congress leaders and activists to question officials about the difficulties being faced by the people during the Janmabhoomi programme that will start from October 2.
Alleging that TD government is removing Congress sympathiser’s names from various welfare schemes, he asked party activists to fight against this by displaying their Aadhaar cards.
MP and former Union minister J.D. Seelam alleged that TD leaders were trying to weaken the Congress in the rural areas and asked the party activists to work hard and rejuvenate the party.
He said that the people are turning against the TD as it failed to fulfil its election promises.
“This is the best time to attract the people towards the Congress by fighting for their rights,” Mr Seelam said, advising party men to use the Janmabhoomi programme for this purpose.
Former minister Kanna Lakshminarayana assured Congress activists and leaders all help from the party in their fight for public issues. Congress leaders and activists from all across Guntur district participated.
