Prachi Thaker to star in a crime-comedy

Actress and director Prashant have been signed on for a film being produced by Neelima Irumalasetti

Hyderabad: Short films have been an encouraging platform, not just for budding filmmakers, but also actors. The success of the short film Silent Melody, featuring Prachi Thaker, produced by Sundeep Kishan and directed by Prashant got Prashant and Prachi their chance in a big film. Actor Prachi Thaker, who impressed viewers with her performance as a mute teacher and Prashant have signed their debut Tollywood film. Touted to be a crime-comedy, the yet-to-be titled movie is being produced by Neelima Tirumalasetti under the banner of Sanghamitra Arts.

Excited about the film Prachi says, “After Silent Melody, life has changed a lot. I am happy to be working with Prashant once again. I am sure that as a duo, we will make our entry on the silver screen with a bang.”

“I am very excited and tensed at the same time. Now that I have signed my debut Tollywood project, I should meet the expectations of the viewers,” she says, adding, “I am currently trying to improve my acting skills and learn Telugu fluently. With Prashant’s support, I am sure I will be able to pull off the role with ease.”

“I am also thankful to Neelima ma’am, who adjusted the schedule of the shooting keeping my college timings in mind. This is very generous of her as a producer,” she adds.

The movie, which also marks the debut of child artiste Teja Sajja as the lead actor, will be launched on October 3 and shooting will start from October 8.
