Steps are taken to widen existing Ongole-Nandyal road to four-lane road
Ongole: Minister for transport Siddha Raghava Rao on Tuesday said that the government has set everything to ply city bus services in city from Dasara.
Addressing a press conference held at his residence here, the minister said that the new ‘Palle Velugu’ buses would be plied from Podili, Kanigiri, Markapuram and Addanki bus depots from Dasara.
He said that so far five ‘Palle Velugu’ buses have already reached Ongole bus depot and added that the RTC will revive the bus services in the routes where the Congress government had cancelled due to losses.
“The government has taken steps to sanction pensions to the eligible and distribute the hiked pensions from October 2 to the beneficiaries,” he said.
It may be mentioned that the government had decided to hike the old age pension to Rs 1,000 and pensions to the physically challenged Rs 1,500 per month. He alleged that the previous government had sanctioned pensions to the families of party activists and made it clear that the TD government will give pensions only to the eligible.
He warned that the government will take stern action against the traders those who sell fake seeds and cheat the innocent farmers.
Mr Raghava Rao said that the government has taken steps to widen the existing Ongole-Nandyal road to a four-lane road. The government decided to lay link road between Donakonda and Chandavaram. He said that the government will construct new a building complex for collectorate at a cost of Rs 105 crore and expressed confidence that the government will issue a GO within three to four-days to this effect.
