Chennai: A 58-year-old notorious red sanders smuggler from AP was arrested from his hideout in Chennai by Nellore police and whisked away on Sunday night. Smuggler Moosa alias Muniyappan alias Moosa Bhai was picked up by Venkatagiri police showing a pending warrant, said Chennai police sources on Monday. There were scores of cases against Moosa in various police stations in Nellore and Kadapa districts for smuggling red sanders. Gudur police had arrested him 2003 but he managed to secure bail. Gudur judge issued a warrant against him recently as he failed to appear for the trail.
