CCB sleuths abduct CA, force him to sign property papers at their HQ

State Human Rights Commission who raided the CCB Headquarters & caught sleuths
Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch sleuths are in the dock for abducting and illegally detaining a 45-year-old charted accountant, and forcing him to sell his plot to a realtor in Yelahanka on Saturday. The victim, Sheikh Nizamuddin, working for a construction company, was however rescued after his wife approached the State Human Rights Commission who raided the CCB Headquarters and caught the sleuths.
Mr Nizamuddin, a resident of Yelahanka, was on his way to work when he noticed a multi-utility vehicle following him. He immediately called the police control room, 100, to complain, but it was not reachable. He later called his wife and gave her the registration number of the car asking her to complaint to the police.
Mr Nizamuddin tried to escape, but those in the MUV intercepted and barged into his car forcing Nizamuddin's driver to go to the CCB Headquarters.
Mr Nizamuddin tried to resist, but PSI Dayanand and his staff snatched his mobile phones and threatened him with dire consequences. After reaching the CCB office, the PSI, who was later identified as Dayanand. S., and a realtor, Abdul Sattar, slapped Mr Nizamuddin and forced him to sign documents to show that he had sold his 2,400 sqft plot for Rs 57 lakh.
The officers also forced Mr Nizamuddin to sign three blank cheques as surety before handing him over his mobile phones around 4 pm.
Mr Nizamuddin immediately called his wife and informed her about the incident. His wife, Nazreen, who is an advocate, rushed to the SHRC and filed a complaint. A team of officials led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Radhakrishna rushed to the CCB headquarters and caught Dayanand along with Abdul Sattar and his associate Srinivasamurthy.
The SHRC officials questioned the CCB officials on what charges they had detained Mr Nizamuddin and checked the entry register. But they realized that there was neither a complaint nor any entry in the register about the detention. Mr Nizamuddin told SHRC men that Abdul Sattar wanted to take over the 2400 sqft plot to construct a residential apartment.
SHRC Chairperson Meera Saxena held a meeting with senior officials on Monday and ordered a detailed inquiry.
