Let’s bond over chai

For NALSAR students, a little tea stall near their college, is their favourite hangout

Hyderabad: We visit the NALSAR University of law, to find out the favourite hangout place of the students. And for the upcoming lawyers, it’s the little tea stall right outside their college, Shankar tea stall, which is always abuzz with activities. Here is where a few laughs are shared, an important case is discussed and debates start.

“It’s not just a regular tea stall for us. We have an emotional connect with the whole family. When Shankar, the owner, passed away two years ago, we were all sad. We went to his funeral and even the alumni sent money for his family. Even when ex-students visit the college today, they make sure they visit the stall as well. That’s the kind of bond we shared with Shankar, it was more than just a customer-seller relationship. Today, Shankar’s son Sai, is in-charge of the tea stall and we continue to visit the place,” says Trishala Kaviti, a fifth-year student.
