MUMBAI: The 30th Anniversary Priyadarshini Global Awards held at the Trident in Mumbai was a grand affair with the crème de la crème in attendance. Truly, it was a glittering function, and the ‘stars of the evening’ – the awardees - shone brightly as they received their awards.
The highly prestigious and well - known awards are an opportunity for the Academy to accord acknowledgment and felicitate outstanding achievements of various individuals in their respective field of activities like literature and entrepreneurship, science and technology, environment protection, education, work in the areas of aids, drug addiction, fine arts and films.
Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, Mukesh Ambani, and spiritual leader Dada J.P. Vaswani were among the galaxy of personalities honoured with the Priyadarshni Academy’s Global Awards on the September 19, 2014.
Priyanka Chopra was honoured with the Smita Patil Memorial Award, while Mukesh Ambani was conferred with the Harish Mahindra Memorial Award for Business Leadership. Mrs. Nita Ambani who was present for the event, collected the award on behalf of her husband Shri Mukesh Ambani.
