Rajahmundry: Heavy rain lashed several parts inundating several low-lying areas and disrupting the normal life in Godavari districts on Thursday.
In Rajahmundry, several areas including railway station road, RTC Complex, Aryapuram and others were inundated and at several places water stagnated at knee-deep forcing the commuters to wade through the water facing hardship.
Several mandals in East Godavari received heavy rainfall and the district average rainfall recorded at 17.8 mm. In West Godavari too, several areas witnessed heavy rainfall.
The district received average rainfall of 10 mm. Narasapuram mandal received 44.2 mm, Mogaltur 42.4 mm, Poduru 42.6 mm and Yalam-anchali 30 mm.
