Hyderabad: The state of Telangana is already witnessing a slew of new investments by MNCs.

During a whirlwind tour of Mahbubnagar district on Thursday, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao inaugurated a unit of Cogent Glass Limited at Vemula, a Proctor & Gamble plant at Pinjarla besides laying the foundation stone for a Johnson & Johnson unit.

Mahbubnagar MP Jitender Reddy and local legislators and other TRS leaders participated in the programmes.

While commending the companies for investing in the state, Mr Rao said that he would personally monitor the chasing cell that would be set up following unveiling of the new industrial policy to ensure hassle free investments by MNCs and others.

The CM added that 34,184 acre of government land was available in Mahbubnagar for the industry sector with an investment potential to the tune of Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 crore.
