Sea-plane services to be launched in Kakinada

Tourists can land in the sea and spend some time there and later they would move to other places in the sea
Kakinada: Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that Sea-plane Tourism and water transportation would be developed from Kakinada Port to Chennai soon on the lines of Singapore. He said that the government was serious about the development of tourism sector as it was a viable source of revenues and creates more numerous employment opportunities with less investment by the government.
He said that the tourists can land in the sea and spend some time there and later they would move to other places in the sea. He said that some of the landing spots would be identified and the process would startsoon. He said that Buckingham Canal would be developed to promote water transport which is cheaper than air, rail and also road transport. As the government was eyeing the development of industrial sector, water transport would be more useful to the industries to transport their cargos. He said that a tourism circuit would be developed from Antarvedi to Badrachalam across the river Godavari.
He reiterated that Telugu Desam would fulfill all its poll promises an d one among them was creation of employment opportunities which the governmnet was seriously working on. He said that vacancies in various departments would be filled up soon and the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission would issue notification for the same.
