Ashutosh Gowariker unveils first look poster of debut TV show 'Everest'

Mumbai: Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker’ TV show promo and poster was launched on Tuesday.

The story of the show revolves around a girl, who decided to climb Mount Everest in order to gain her father’s acceptance.

Writer and producer Gowariker said, “I was intrigued by mountaineers and always used to think what they felt after reaching the peak of any mountain. Now, I know it’s the inner satisfaction that they get.”

“The show is not only about the female protagonist as each and every character has inner conflicts which they will deal with during the journey of our serial.”

After the success of 'Lagaan' and 'Jodha Akbar', A R Rahman has teamed up with Ashutosh Gowariker for the director's debut television show titled 'Everest'.

Rahman said that it was a privilege to work on the Star Plus show with Gowariker, whose first look was launched today. "I have worked with Ashutosh earlier and it was a great experience. He has given me a brief for the show and I have already composed the title track for 'Everest'.

"I am also planning to use tracks created by some students from my music college for this show," the Oscar-winning musician said.

Rahman feels Indian television has changed a lot in terms of production and it was a good experience for him to work in it.
