Rajinikanth files petition against Hindi movie 'Main Hoon Rajinikanth'

Mumbai: Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth has filed a petition against a Hindi film titled ‘Main Hoon Rajinikanth’, according to reports. The Madras High court ordered an interim stay on the film’s release.

The film revolves around a CBI officer/contract killer named Rajinikanth Rao. The actor stated that the film defames him and there are certain portions of the film that portray the star in a bad light, and was therefore the reason he filed a petition for a ban on its release.

The film is directed by Faisal Saif and stars actor Adhitya in the lead role. The court has sent a notice to the filmmakers, and is awaiting a reply.
