Telugu Desam cadre stage stir at 100 days of Telugu Desam rule fete

Party would recognise and justify all the cadres and leaders in the district

KADAPA: Telugu Desam cadres created embarrassing moments for the leaders of Kadapa during a district level meeting on the occasion of 100-day ruling of Telugu Desam in the state. Rajya Sabha member C.M. Ramesh, deputy chairman in council S.V. Sathish Kumar Reddy, district unit president M. Linga Reddy and several others took part in the meeting. A group of cadres shouted slogans against the district leaders for not inviting their constituency level leaders Durgaprasad Rao and Subramanyam on to the stage and resisted the conduct of the meeting.

They alleged party cadres were neglected even after the party came to power. District unit president M. Linga Reddy tried to convince the party cadres who were staging stir that the meeting was being held to take all welfare schemes to the public at grassroot level. He recalled that being district unit president and sitting legislator he had sacrificed his seat obeying party high command’s direction.
“I am confident that I would give some other position,” Mr Linga Reddy hoped and asked the cadres to cooperate with the leaders. But, when the workers did not listen to him, Mr Linga Reddy got angry and pushed out a Telugu Desam activist. Rajya Sabha member C.M. Ramesh intervened to stop party cadres from disturbing at the meeting. “Party would recognise and justify all the cadres and leaders in the district. We voted to power after 10 years and we need to bring welfare schemes at all levels,” Mr Ramesh said.
