Suresh Raina has a golden arm, says Andy Bichel

Chennai Super King's bowling coach reiterated Raina’s value to the two-time IPL champions
Chennai: Suresh Raina is one of the most dangerous weapons in the arsenal of Chennai Super Kings’ skipper M.S. Dhoni. CSK’s bowling coach Andy Bichel on Friday reiterated Raina’s value to the two-time IPL champions by saying that the southpaw possesses “a golden arm.”
“Dhoni has always shown a lot of confidence in Raina’s abilities. It helps Raina when he has the ball. With pitches for the Champions League in India likely to aid spin bowling, Raina’s off-spinners would come in handy,” said Bichel, on the sidelines of CSK’s practice session at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium on Friday.
Bichel also spoke of the importance of off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo to the Chennai super Kings team’s bowling in the game.
“Ashwin has bowled right up front in the powerplays. But I feel he does more damage whenever he gets an opportunity to play in the middle phase of the match. My focus is on getting the first six overs spot on,” he added.
According to the Australian, CSK missed the experience of Bravo in death overs in the last IPL as the West Indian was out with an injury. “With him around you are sure that there is a guy to count on in the final stage of the match. His sheer presence on the field rubs off on youngsters like Mohit Sharma and Ishwar Pandey. He is one supreme all-rounder for us,” added the 44-year-old.
After underlining the fact that most bowlers lack the skill to shine in T20 cricket, Bichel said that the pacers in the camp are working on perfecting the yorker, a vital tool in the shortest format of the game.
