Ropeway to come up at Sirivaka

Ropeway between these two hills spread apart by 300 meters
Rajahmundry: As part of an eco-tourism project, a ropeway is proposed to be set up at Sirivaka village connecting two hills of Papikondalu for the benefit of the tourists. The mighty Godavari river passes through a narrow passage between two hills which are popularly known as Papikondalu.
The forest authorities propose to set up a ropeway between these two hills spread apart by 300 meters at Sirivaka village falling under Papikonda national park.
Without affecting the eco-system, the authorities intend to erect mammoth poles on the ground to support the two way ropeway to a distance covering about 1.5 km to two km. The origin and destination point remain same and the there will be two ropeways running parallel to each other.
The tourists can enjoy the bounteous beauty of nature and wildlife while travelling on ropeway cable cars with Godavari flowing underneath. Once the project gets the clearance, the forest department can use funds released for promotion of eco-tourism projects to execute it. A large number of tourists are eager to see the project executed expeditiously.
