It was one of Prabhu Deva’s regular visits to the city, but the choreographer turned actor/filmmaker was keen this time to meet the press as he felt they had always supported him even though he had shifted to Bollywood. He patiently took all the questions the media put to him, replying in a cool manner. The moment he was asked about Nayanthara, he responded unperturbed, with a smile, “It was all over long ago. This too shall pass. I have to move on. My priorities are my films and my two kids. B’town producers are investing so much money, trusting me, that sometimes it is scary. So, my concentration is fully on that.” When somebody asked him about marrying again, he said, “I have no time for that and I haven’t even thought about it.”
Touted to be the highest paid director (Rs 25 crores per film), Prabhu revealed that he had plans of starting a production company in the south and to make quality films, giving young talents a chance. “If, what I command, Rs 25 crores, comes true, I am happy,” he added. On how he remained a favourite with his heroines, right from Nagma, his co-star in his debut as hero, to Sonakshi Sinha today, he giggled and said, “May be they like my dancing.”
