100 days period too short: Minister for I. T. and Panchayat Raj K. T. Rama Rao

K.T. Rama Rao said the TRS would win the Medak bypoll
Hyderabad: Describing the 100 days of the Telangana state government as a very short period of time in which the state has inspired confidence of citizens in governance, minister for IT and panchayat raj K.T. Rama Rao said the TRS would win the Medak bypoll.
“In these 100 days of being in government, we have made our mark and have taken many decisions. We are committed to make ours a model state and eradicate political corruption from governance. This government has gained the confidence of the people and over the next five years we will have a lot more activity and initiatives. We will also follow up the special status issue as the AP Reorganisation Act has promised a level playing field,” the minister said.
About the plan of action to solve the power crisis, the minister said that within four years the state will have excess power as resources like coal and water, which have not been used by the earlier government will be tapped.
“Although we have very good resources the previous government has deliberately ignored the region in planning thermal power plants. We are planning our own th-ermal and solar plants on priority basis. In the short term we are trying to purchase as much power from the southern corridor and for the midterm we are building corridor connectivity with Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand, which have ex-cess power. In the long term we will have our own 400 MW thermal plant at Ramagundam and 1000 MW solar power plants for which we have already started the process,” he added.
