PM Narendra Modi has clear vision: Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu

Union Government keen to deliver goods, says Venkaiah Naidu
Chennai: In a broadside at opposition parties for criticising the functioning of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, particularly for addressing students on Teacher’s Day, Union urban development minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said Mr Modi has a “clear vision and has clarity on all subjects.”
He is keen that his government functions effectively and wants his ministers to deliver, Mr Naidu added. “There is stability. The investment climate has improved and many nations want to nurture good ties with India. Now the US wants our Prime Minister to visit and Japan has assured Rs 2.1 lakh crore in investment in India and has lifted the ban on six companies including HAL,” Mr Naidu said addressing the 87th anniversary celebrations of the Andhra Chamber of Commerce here on Saturday evening.
Mr Modi wants transparency and accountability in administration. “Our Prime Minister is making all of us (ministers) run. There is so much pressure on us. After seeing a government suffering from policy paralysis (that is, Congress-led UPA government) for 10 years, we have a Parliament that is also functioning after a long gap,” he said in a lighter vein.
Giving away excellence awards to doyens of industry on the occasion he said the captains of industry should focus on obtaining more investments as the industrial and investment climate in the country has improved.
On the PM’s Jan Dhan Yojana launched by Mr Modi on August 28, Mr Naidu said so far about 2.32 crore persons have opened bank accounts under this scheme. “This is something amazing. This scheme will be a game changer,” he added.
