Visakhapatnam: Follow the law to know the law and to become guardians of the law. That was the message delivered to law students of Damodaram Sanjivayya Law University by the Supreme Court Judge, S.J. Mukhopadhaya.
In his lecture on dynamics of criminal justice system in India, at the university, he told the law students to understand how law is misused by criminals. He said that this will help the students in becoming better at cross-examination and that this would also make them better lawyers.
Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana High Court, Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta spoke about how the rule of law has always paved the way in criminal and civil justice systems in the Indian history even before the modern criminal justice system was developed.
Justice Sengupta further spoke about the various components of the justice system, police, prosecution, adjudication and corrections.
