New Delhi: The Indian Mujahideen techie that the Delhi police arrested on Friday was an atextremely trusted operive after, especially after the Batla House encounter in 2008. “He was in touch with the IM top guns but was not completely involved in the activities till 2008. After the Batla House encounter, he alone stayed back and updated his associates across the border about developments in India,” a source said. “He was asked by his handlers to become technically more sound for which he attended diploma courses,” he added.
Police said that Ejaz Sheikh, who was arrested from the Saharanpur railway station, was employed with a BPO in Pune. Before his arrest, his name never cropped up in any investigation.
