Rayalaseema eyes on Chief Minister sops

Four lane road, HNSS, central varsity are part of package
Anantapur: Amid, denying capital, the Rayalaseema leaders eyed on priority of sops announced by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at the Assembly on Thursday as part of rebuilding the state. Giving top priority for permanent drought relief measures, the government has announced a slew of educational institutions and research centers for the region.Central university would be part of Anantapur, which is only varsity to be part of residuary AP.
The satellite centre of AIIMS, Industrial corridor, textile park, Hindupur in BCIC and maintenance and overhaul of Puttaparthi airport were among the sops announced for Anantapur district.
As part of the drought relief measures, 100 per cent drip irrigation and completion of HandriNeeva Irrigation project were announced in the package.The Chief Minister Mr Chandrababu Naidu, however, considered airport at Anant-apur that was earlier denied after the district leaders raised the issue during debate.
Meanwhile, the CM had tried to persuade the Kurnool people by announcing sops during the Independence Day celebrations in the wake of protests demanding the state capital at Kurnool.
Hyderabad-Bengaluru Industrial corridor, IIIT, seed capital, new industrial city at Owk, mining school and airport and smart city will be part of Kurnool package.Establishment of Urdu University, industrial smart city and operation of Kadapa airport were part of package announced for Kadapa.
Meanwhile, the big list of sops also includes the previous sanctions announced in Congress government.
For instance, rail coach factory at Kurnool, Kudremukh iron ore unit at Bommanahal in Anantapur district and Kadapa airport, Handri Neeva Sujala Shravanthi were among those sanctioned during the previous government.
The Chief Minister, however, concentrated on transportation network towards new state capital from all parts of the Rayalaseema.Fourlane roads, Kurnool Vinukonda via Srisailam, Kurnool Nandyal Giddalur Guntur were proposed for connecting the new state capital from all parts of Anantapur, Kadapa and Kurnool districts.
