Mumbai: Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do is the most talked about film that is in the making. First there was news about the leading actors going on double dates, and then there were rumours about ego clashes between some actors during the shooting schedule in Barcelona. The first schedule of the film is over and the actors are back in Mumbai. It appears that they have been given strict instructions by producer Ritesh Sidhwani to not talk about the film and to keep their respective looks in the film under wraps. The actor who is finding it really hard to abide by this instruction is Anil Kapoor. The veteran, who essays the role of Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra’s father in the film, will be seen sporting a very different hairdo. And since he has been asked to stay underground, maybe that’s why the easygoing Anil has been avoiding the paparazzi.
Earlier, actors would go all out to publicise their look in a film. Nowadays they seem to be going out of their way to keep it a secret. For instance, during the making of Haider, Vishal Bharadwaj asked Shahid Kapur to lie low and stay away from the media. Now Anil seems to be following in Shahid’s steps. He has been spotted on a few occasions concealing his hairdo with either traditional turbans or funky hats. A source says, “There is a lot of curiosity about Anil’s look in the film. The selfies they clicked on the cruise show that he’s not sporting his trademark moustache. He was seen in various headgears in the selfies and even now, Anil is making serious attempts to hide his mane.”
