Hyderabad: The actress who was rescued from prostitution has reportedly claimed that she made wrong choices in her career. There were various reports in the media about her version, however, the cops have denied any such reports.
Reports said that she took to the flesh trade to support her family and due to other pressing needs. She said that all doors were closed, and some people encouraged her to get into prostitution to earn money. She was helpless, and with no other option left.
The reports also stated that the actress had said that not only her but many other actresses in the industry have gone through this phase. Meanwhile, cops said that she is now in a rehabilitation center and it is not possible for her to release any statement. The police said that reports in the media quoting her were baseless and not factual.
“She was produced before court and is now lodged in a rehabilitation centre run by the Woman and Child Welfare department. She is likely to be there for some more days. It’s not possible for her to release any statement or contact the media. The reports are baseless,” said inspector P. Murali Krishna.
The police also warned that defamation cases will be slapped against media houses publishing information harmful to the victim.
