Bhardwaj, says the new Governor, Vajubhai Vala, would not misuse his office against the Congress government headed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. We will bring shortcomings of the government to his notice at regular intervals.”

When asked whether his party would petition the Governor against the state government’s decision to denotify 541 acres in Arkavathy Layout, he said, "We have discussed it. A team has been set up to study it. The CM has constituted a commission of inquiry. The party will decide on the future course of action."
