Hyderabad: Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths on Tuesday arrested a senior assistant of prohibition and excise department for allegedly taking bribe from a wine shop owner.
The officer took Rs 3,000 and was caught red handed by the ACB officials following a tip-off from the victim.
In another case, ACB sleuths arrested an assistant engineer in Nalgonda district for taking 50,000 as bribe.
The official, working with irrigation and command area development department of Miryalaguda section in Nalgonda, was caught red-handed by the ACB sleuths while taking the money.
