French star will line up alongside Martina Navratilova and Tracy Austin for the event

New Delhi: The 2013 Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli will join Martina Navratilova and Tracy Austin in the four-player field of the WTA Legends event in Singapore in October, the Women’s Tennis Association said on Monday.
The 29-year-old French star, a winner of eight singles titles, once ranked as high as seven in the world. She will be among the four legends featuring in the inaugural Legends tournament at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore between October 17 and 26 this year.
“During my playing career I had the honour of competing in the WTA Finals at Madrid and Istanbul, so I can’t wait to see what Singapore has in store to take our season finale to new heights,” said Bartoli. “It will be a chance to relive memories and also make new ones, and I’m sure I speak for the other legends when I say we’ll all be in it to win it!”
