Hyderabad: Another police complaint has been lodged in the city against filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma for allegedly hurting religious sentiments through his tweets on Lord Ganesha.
The complaint was lodged by local BJP leader Gopal with the Shahinayathgunj police station a day after the Saroornagar police booked a case against RGV on the same matter. Shainayathgunj Inspector P. Sattaiah said that the police would seek legal opinion before taking action on the complaint.
In a series of tweets, film director RGV had questioned the logic behind worshipping Lord Ganesh and had ridiculed the anatomy of the Hindu god. His comments drew immediate flak from worshippers of Lord Ganesh. Later RGV toned down his comments and also apologised to the devotees of Lord Ganesha.
