Hyderabad:A man was killed by his creditor for refusing to repay a loan at Fatima Nagar in Falaknuma late on Friday. The victim Sheik Siraj, 25, a carpenter and the accused Mohammed Essa, 39, a vendor, are residents of Fatima Nagar.
Police said that Siraj borrowed money from Essa two years ago promising to repay it fast. However, later he kept postponing payment. On Friday, Essa called Siraj to his house and asked about the loan. They had a heated argument after Siraj refused to pay the loan.
“Essa took out a knife and slit Siraj’s throat. He also stabbed him. Siraj was killed on the spot,” said Mohammed Shakir Hussain. The body was shifted to Osmania Hospital and was later handed over to the victim’s family after postmortem.
