South Central Railways plans MMTS service to airport

SCR has planned to extend MMTS connectivity all the way to the airport terminal
Hyderabad: The South Central Railways rejected GMR’s proposal to set up a railway line 3.4 km away from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
The SCR stated that crores of rupees cannot be spent to develop a railway track leaving passengers kilometres away from the airport.
SCR general manager P.K. Srivastava said, “SCR has planned to extend MMTS connectivity all the way to the airport terminal. All stakeholders, except GMR, have agreed. We will discuss things with the Telangana government again.”
