Tribunals to settle land disputes faster in Telangana

Telangana govt is all set to go Gujarat way in setting up a State Revenue Tribunal

Hyderabad: The Telangana government is all set to go the Gujarat way in setting up a State Revenue Tribunal for speedy disposal of land dispute cases.

Land dispute cases have increased manifold during the last decade, especially in Hyderabad and surrounding districts, due to the realty boom. However, it has been taking at least 10 years on an average to resolve each land dispute case in courts.

Revenue officials are planning to visit Gujarat soon to study the functioning of the revenue tribunal in Gujarat. Maharashtra also has a similar set up.
