Chennai: Nayanthara is known to be an outspoken, yet emotional person. The actress, who shares a great bond with actor Arya, showed her softer side was once again on view when she was moved to tears, watching Amarakaaviyam, at a special screening that Arya organised in the city recently.
Sources revealed that the movie reminded her of her past relationships and unforgettable moments. She appeared quite disturbed and broke down especially when the intense climax was running on the screen.
Director Jeeva Shankar said, “I was really happy that my movie created such an impact. Yes, Nayan did say that she was perturbed, watching AK, especially the final scenes. But she never said anything about relating those scenes to her real life. Those are rumours.”
The teenage love story, set in 1988, has Malayalam actress Mia George play Sathya’s romantic interest. A contented Arya said that he was happy for his brother Sathya as he had got to act in such a film with such a strong subject at an early stage of his career. “The chemistry between Sathya and Mia has worked out wonderfully,” the Madarasapattinam star said.
