Police says Qaeda leaders encouraging militants to target Las Vegas

Washington: Intelligence agencies in the West are reportedly assisting the Syrian government in the fight against the Islamic State militants.
The agencies are providing details on the location of militant leaders for targeted air strikes, according to an International Business Times report.
The Bashar al-Assad’s government in Syria is receiving information by German intelligence service Bundesnachrichtendienst, which acted as an intermediary, reported The Independent.
Syrian forces have, in recent weeks, launched a series of air strikes against IS commanders and headquarters, as they battle to halt the advance of jihadist forces from their stronghold in the east of the country.
The Assad regime has been accused of covertly supporting Islamic State in the belief that it would swallow up other rebel groups, but Islamic State militants have scored a series of victories against the Syrian army, forcing Assad to step up his campaign against them.
Meanwhile, US police have confirmed al-Qaida leaders are encouraging lone jihadists to target Las Vegas for terror attacks.
