A levitating Bluetooth speaker system called OM

OM/ONE is a Bluetooth levitating speaker system based on the levitation principle seen in a few showpieces such as the earth and alike. The Bluetooth speakers are part of a crowdfunding project and are due to launch a month later.

The speaker system is Bluetooth-enabled, levitates on a magnetic pod, which is supported / levitated by a Hall Effect system. The OM/ONE is the world’s first levitating speakers system, which uses Bluetooth as the connectivity and can connect to any device or gadget that is Bluetooth-enabled.

The ON/ONE is a paradigm shift. Designed by a team of world class industrial designers and audio engineers, OM/ONE is as functional as it is beautiful. The speaker kit is a single speaker system and can be paired with another similar speaker kit to create a stereo sound. The speakers can be controlled from a maximum range of 35 feet.

The OM/ONE levitating speaker weighs 350 grams and has a 3.6-inch diameter. The base measures 6.3-inches in diameter, is 1.6-inch in height and weighs around 1Kg.

The speaker is equipped with Bluetooth and features a 75mm diameter driver along with a built-in microphone for answering voice calls. The OM/ONE has a touch on/off sensor and runs for 15-hours on a rechargeable battery. The speaker kit runs off a 12V power brick. OM/ONE outputs a full 110 decibels with a 3 watt RMS amplifier.

The designer claims ‘The OM/ONE orb is designed to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand and has build quality equal to the best products you already own.’

The OM/ONE comes in two variants—black and silver disco ball. Early bird sponsor/funds will attract one piece for $179 (approximately Rs 11,000), plus shipping of around Rs 600 to Rs 1200.
