Did the studio bribe Censor Board CEO Rakesh Kumar to clear 'Anjaan'?

Kumar had taken a laptop, and an iPad to issue the censor certificate for the film

Mumbai: The Central Bureau of Investigation recently arrested Censor Board CEO, Rakesh Kumar for allegedly demanding Rs 70,000 as bribe for clearing a regional movie. According to CBI sources, the arrest was made in Mumbai as the Central Board of Film Certification CEO came under the agency scanner after two middlemen allegedly receiving bribe on his behalf were arrested.

According to reports, the CBI informed the court that Kumar had taken a laptop, and an iPad to issue the censor certificate for UTV Motion Pictures' Kollywood film ‘Anjaan’, and also another Rs. 50,000 to grant the certificate for the Telugu version of the film ‘Sikander’.

Further inquiries and search on Kumar by the CBI, found gold jewellery, diamond and legal documents of properties from his locker.

The report further stated that the CBI has sought out a list of all the upcoming films, to find out if the makers have paid money.
