CM K Chandrasekhar Rao: Will develop Telangana like Singapore

CM promises graft-free, hassle-free regime
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, vowed on Friday to take up massive development activity in Telangana on the lines of Singapore.
Mr Rao, who is presently in Singapore, on Friday participated in the IIM-PACT meeting and gave a powerful presentation showcasing Hyderabad and Telangana as the most convenient destination for all types of Industries.
He said that his government had decided to bring in a new industrial policy, which would inspire both international and domestic industry groups to choose Telangana as the destination of their choice.
“I personally promise a graft-free and hassle-free industrial regime which will be rated amongst the best in the world,” he told the gathering.
Making a comparison with other Indian states, Mr Rao said Telangana was lucky to possess several thousand acres of government land for setting up industries.
“With the new Land Acquisition Act, acquiring private land has become very difficult now and this is a disadvantage that will be encountered by most other states. Large-scale industrialisation in my opinion is now possible only in those states where the government has clear title lands in its possession for industrial purposes.
